By the end of class students will be familiar several varieties of lenses as evidenced by finding definitions of the following terms:
Field of View- Such a panorama shows the entirefield of view (FOV) in a single image.
Normal Lens- lens that reproduces a field of view that generally looks "natural" to a human observer
Wide Lens- a lens whose focal length is substantially smaller than the focal length of a normal lens for a given film plane
Telephoto Lens- is a specific type of a long-focus lens in which the physical length of the lens is shorter than the focal length.
Fisheye Lens- an ultra wide-angle lens that produces strong visual distortion intended to create a wide panoramic or hemispherical image
Macro Lens- it should be able to reproduce a life-sized image of an object on the recording medium
Prime Lens- is either a photographic lens whose focal length is fixed, or it is the primary lens in a combination lens system.
Zoom Lens-
a mechanical assembly of lens elements for which the focal length (and thus angle of view) can be varied
